I went to The Louvre and Musee D’Orsay in Paris, and after that trip, I basically stopped taking pictures with my digital camera. Since I can’t legally shoot everyone I’d like to, I wrote a play about the experience.
The Dilettantes tells the story of two friends who spend an afternoon in a famous art museum. To better appreciate the art, they’re going to take pictures of as many paintings as they can. However, once thinking gets in the way, their quest becomes a little more complicated than point-and-shoot.
The Dilettantes is a royalty-free play.
